I increased my squat by 50%
Meet Makayla! Makayla is a student athlete at Queen's University, playing on the women's volleyball team. She trains 2X/week with Kyle, and has been with us for just over 2 years. Q: Makayla, how long have you trained with Kyle?
A: I started with Kyle in the summer of 2013 when Vagus Fitness was still in their Montgomery location! Since then, I have been training with Vagus 2-3X/week in the summers when I am back from school.
Q: Why did you start with vagus fitness?
A: My mom started doing their boot camps in the summer and loved the trainers! She eventually sent my sister and I to train 1-on-1 with Kyle to help us prepare for University level volleyball. My brother also goes to Kyle to improve his hockey training.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGES?
A: I would have to say my overall strength. I just finished my first season of varsity volleyball and overcoming injuries throughout the year made me nervous to start lifting weights again. However, Kyle had me start at a level I was comfortable with, and we progressed quickly from there.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR BIGGEST ACCOMPLISHMENTS WITH YOUR TRAINING?
A: Definitely increasing my strength. I increased my squat by 50% over the summer, and by just as much for many other movements. Increasing my vertical, as well as improving my mobility were also big accomplishments I achieved with Kyle.
Q: WHY IS VAGUS FITNESS AWESOME?
A: I love my sessions with Kyle. He makes my programs difficult, but I still enjoy them! Especially when I can talk him into a few extra gossip breaks...
It's also a fun place to train. Everyone knows your name and are very friendly, motivating and supportive in helping you reach your goals.
