Meet Brooke! Brooke is a mother, nurse and rockstar client who has been training with Vagus Fitness for just over a year. She trains 1X/week in Vagus' Group Personal Training program, with Leslie as her head coach. Read on for more on what Brooke has to say!
Q: How long have you been training with Vagus Fitness?
A: Just over 1 year.
Q: And did you have any weight training experience before?
A: Yes, I spent the last 13 years "weight training" on my own, always at the same plateau, never seeing any substantial strength or endurance gains.
Q: WHAT HAVE YOU ACCOMPLISHED SINCE STARTING WITH VAGUS FITNESS?
A: After 1 year this is what I have accomplished:
- I can now do 2 pull-ups!
- Improved deadlift by 85 lbs.
- Improved my squat by 50 lbs.
- Going from 5 pushups to over 12 pushups
Q: WHAT CAN YOU DO NOW, THAT YOU COULDN'T BEFORE?
A: I can lift a cooler with ice & beer up a flight of stairs! I can also run a whole lot faster than I used to. Just as importantly, I sleep way better!
Q: WHAT DO YOU THINK THE BIGGEST FACTORS IN YOUR SUCCESS ARE?
A: I have a personalized, tailor made program designed for ME. My trainer, Leslie, has also been a huge factor in pushing me to my actual limits (safely of course).
Q: SO, WHAT'S NEXT ON YOUR GOAL LIST?
A: I want to get up to 20 pushups from my toes, increase my pull-ups, and get arms like Leslie/Deb/Alyssa!
