4 Amazing Homemade Salad Dressings!

A couple of years ago we had the pleasure of working with holistic nutritionist Stacey Deering. She created these salad dressings for one of our in studio nutrition plans. She is one of the most talented and educated in her field and I recommend checking out her web page.

Enjoy these recipes. They are a treat! 

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR DRESSING

1 tsp. Dijon or grainy mustard

1 tbsp. apple cider vinegar

1 tsp. honey or pure maple syrup

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

Sea salt and pepper to taste

 

Combine mustard, vinegar and honey

Whisk in the olive oil until combined.

Season with salt and pepper.

Store in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid.

 

This dressing can be made different by switching out the apple cider vinegar for white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar.

 

 

RASPBERRY DRESSING

½ cup fresh raspberries

Juice of ½ a lemon or lime

1 tsp. honey

¼ cup walnut oil

 

Blend or mash together raspberries, honey and lemon or lime juice. 

Whisk or blend in the walnut oil.

 

 

BALSAMIC DRESSING

3 tbsp. balsamic vinegar

1 tbsp. lemon juice

2 tsp. Dijon mustard

2 tsp. pure maple syrup

½ cup extra virgin olive oil

Sea salt and pepper to taste.

 

Blend in balsamic vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard and maple syrup.

Whisk in the olive oil.

Season with sea salt and pepper.

 

CAESAR DRESSING

2 cloves of garlic

Juice of 2 lemons

1 tsp. Dijon mustard

1 anchovy fillet (optional)

½ cup extra virgin olive oil

Sea salt and pepper

 

Combine in a blender, garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard and anchovy fillet.

Drizzle in the olive oil and blend until smooth and creamy.

Season with sea salt and pepper.
